Painting with oils

I have always had trouble mixing my colors just right. I've tried using a color wheel, comparing to other colors, mixing on canvas as well as many other methods. The method I've come to use "with dad's help" is to keep it simple. not to use to many or to much color in the mix is vital. and after mixing take a small amount and dabble it on the canvas. you never know you just may like what you come up with!
